  Ambergris Caye is unique in it’s hotel arrangements in that the island is divided by a very narrow inlet, navigated via a hand cranked barge.

  So there are resorts isolated to the north, in the city of San Pedro (beachfront) and others within minutes south of San Pedro.

  To the north are resorts that are "all-inclusive" and very remote. The hotel facilities are wonderful, VERY quiet & laid-back. If staying at these locations one should "bring your own fun", since San Pedro is only available through a "Water Taxi" service.

  If nightlife is desired (remember you will be on "island time" shortly after your arrival) hotel accommodations in or south of San Pedro are recommended.

  Both hotels and condos are available in San Pedro.

  North:
